One of the many stories that makes me smile is the time when Jimmy and I took a van to Ayr to collect the remains of our stuff after moving to Rosyth. After a quiet dinner at my parents we made our excuses ("yawn, oh we're so tired after the long drive") and headed home. Well, via 'The Chase' (the local boozer) where we ended up sampling Ayrshires finest ales for a good few hours, then eventually staggering down the road at midnight. Needless to say, sore heads in the morning but well worth it! But a night with my best pal I'll never forget.
